Robert Young

Wells-Robert Lewis Young passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Meredith and Ethel Young.
Robert was a devoted husband, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather, also affectionately known as “Bampy.”

He worked for the government as a Quality Assurance Specialist for 36 years.
After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed being snowbirds for 30 years. Robert also worked for Lafayette’s Oceanfront Resort in Wells, Maine, for 20 years.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Robert enjoyed spending time outdoors. He and his wife also enjoyed traveling.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, he leaves his four children: Rick Young and his wife, Kris; Lisa Brosnan; Suzan Mitchell and her husband, Steve; and Steve Young and his wife, Anne.
He also leaves seven grandchildren: Mike Young and his wife, Morgan; Lisa King and her husband, James; Chris Larrabee and his wife, Lisa; Ryan Larrabee and his partner, Shana; Jennie Ferrante and her husband, Chris; Matt Young and his partner, Julie; and Meghan Young.

He also leaves nine great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Congregational Church of Wells, 1695 Post Road, Wells, Maine 04090. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with refreshments served immediately following the service.
