Pamela (Pam) Carol Angell Boyden, 83, resident of Lyman, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Amos (Pep) Boyden III, mother Elise Smith Angell, father Leonard Angell, brothers Dick Angell, David Angell, and her sister Sally Phillips.
She is survived by her daughter Kellie Anne Clark and her husband Darrell of Kennebunk, her son Christopher Leonard Boyden and his wife Kathy of Lyman, her grandchildren William (Billy) Boyden, Andrew Boyden, Jacob Boyden, Thomas Clark. Great-grandchildren Christopher Amos Boyden, Gabby and Carrie Clark, and nieces and nephews. Her beloved cat Baby Doll.
She was raised in Kennebunk, attended Kennebunk Schools, then attended Cambridge Business School.
She married the love of her life on November 3, 1962. They went on to own and run Boyden's Market in West Kennebunk and then later owned Lord & Brooks Plumbing and Heating in Wells, Maine.
Pam enjoyed being outside, looking at her beautiful flowers or just sitting in the sun, taking trips to the beach, spending time with family and friends, whether it was a quick stop-in visit or going out to eat at one of her favorite restaurants. She especially enjoyed seafood and coffee frappes. She was a member of the Goodwins Mills Methodist Church in Lyman, Maine. Also enjoyed traveling with her husband on many different trips and going with friends on the 50 Plus Group out of Biddeford, Maine. In her youth, she took ballet dancing, played basketball and was a majorette in high school. She became an avid dancer. Pam and Pep would often take the dance floor over at many gatherings. A true sight to behold, many have said.
She had a natural gift of making lifelong friends throughout her entire life, as well as a beautiful smile that could light up a room instantly, and a laugh that was pure and genuine.
Her daughter Kellie and husband Darrell would like to offer their deepest appreciation to the extraordinary team at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, whose compassionate care allowed Pam to spend her final days in peace, comfort, dignity, and surrounded by love. Also, they would like to sincerely thank all of her caregivers that came in over the last several years and helped with her care. It allowed her to stay in her home until just a few short weeks ago. Marlene, Samantha, Sarah and Jade. Melissa, from Seniors Plus. Along with lots of help from her family and friends. Also, a special thanks to Jeffrey Dobson for his help and guidance through this difficult time.
There will be a graveside service held at Hope Cemetery in Kennebunk, Maine, on October 30, 2026, at 12 noon.
