In Loving Memory of Majorie Ann Higgins

Majorie Ann Higgins passed away peacefully on April 13th, 2026, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old.

Born on May 2nd, 1936, in Portland, Maine, Majorie was the fourth of five children, growing up with three brothers and one sister. She was predeceased by all her siblings.

Majorie dedicated her professional life to working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) until her retirement. After retiring, she continued to serve her community by volunteering with Meals on Wheels, where she not only prepared meals but also delivered them to individuals in need.

Throughout her life, Majorie had many passions. She had a special talent for nurturing plants and enjoyed gardening. She spent time knitting and crocheting quilts, mittens, and hats. Majorie also enjoyed solving puzzles and playing Bingo.

Majorie was predeceased by her daughter Debra Dobson, son David Erickson, and son Glenn Erickson. She is survived by her daughter Della Johnson of Saco, her son Stephen Erickson and his wife Jennifer of Old Orchard Beach, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private graveside ceremony will be held on May 2nd.
