Kevin Ward

–

Arundel, Maine

Kevin Paul Ward (Portland) passed away unexpectedly in his home on December 23rd, 2025.

Kevin is remembered for his hulking muscles, bold presence and the loyalty he had to those he called a friend.

Kevin was born on March 1st, 1972 in Boston, moving to Maine in his childhood.

In 1990, he graduated from Westbrook High School.

Growing up, Kevin fell in love with motor vehicles and nothing held his fascination like mustangs and motorcycles.

In his 20’s, Kevin and his father, Russell, worked for Woburn Vending. It was the time they spent working together that led to Kevin’s dedication to being a hardworking man.

In 1998, Kevin began plumbing. He always extended the skills that he’d learned to those he loved, free of charge. That was the way any friend of Kevin would remember him. He’d take the shirt off of his back for anyone, but turn around and choke them out with it.

Kevin was dedicated, funny, and charming. He was a father to four children who he loved more than the world itself. His children who taught him the strength he needed to be a protector, devoting his heart and mind to family. Family was who Kevin was, he loved his sister, Kristen, who he would tell anyone made the best homemade oatmeal. He looked forward to it every time
they visited.

It wasn’t until he met his life partner of 13 years who became the mother of 2 children, Jessica Skillings, that he made the difficult decision, as a born Bostonian, to convert from a
Patriots fan to a fan of the Buffalo Bills. Kevin will be remembered as someone who loved to joke with his friends, whether on a group text or out together, there was never a moment of silence between them.

Kevin is predeceased by his father, Russell Ward. His grandfather, Russell Ward and his grandmother, Marie Ward, as well as Neal Cobisi.

Kevin is survived by His four children, Seneca Bailey, Ella Noblet, Dallas Ward, and Hollis Ward. His life partner, Jessica Skillings. His mother, Karen Cobisi. His sister, Kristen DeHart and her husband Paul DeHart and their children, Elijah Ward, Vanessa DeHart, and Ava DeHart. His step-sisters, Angela Richter and her husband Jesse Richter and their daughter Mia Richter, Lisa McNally Morando, and Jennifer McNally Stacy.

Kevin’s celebration of life will be held at The Brass Rail on January 10th at 3:00 P.M 1171 Forest Avenue Portland, ME.
