Dorothy LaFortune

Dorothy “Dot” Lafortune passed away at York Hospital in Wells on June 26, 2026 at the age of 77.
Dot was born in Biddeford on August 16, 1948, the daughter of Raymond and Marion (Cadorette) Lafortune. She was one of 5 children, and was schooled in the St. Joseph’s school system, graduating from St. Joseph High School.
She owned and operated a very successful dance studio in Saco for many years.
She had two loves – her dance studio and her daughter Nicole “Nicki”.
She is predeceased by her parents; her daughter; her brother Ronald; and her sister Joanne.
She is survived by her brother Raymond and Donald.
Dot will be interred at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco next to her beloved daughter Nicki.
