Obituary Chelsie Rose Bell
September 13, 1990 - June 9, 2025
Chelsie Rose Bell, beloved daughter, mother, niece, cousin, and
friend, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, June
9, 2025, surrounded by her loving parents.
Born September 13, 1990, in Portland, Maine. Chelsie grew up in
Kennebunk and embraced life with curiosity and kindness. Even
at an early age, she was dedicated to seeing through challenges.
She learned to baton twirl, committed to playing flute in the school
band and exploring the deep wilderness with Chewonki. She took
classes at the University of Farmington and went on to devote her
professional life to helping others, most recently serving her
community working at Bath Housing Authority.
In 2019, Chelsie planted roots in Wiscasset, where she created a
home for her two sweet boys, Elliot Charles and Emery Coleman.
Motherhood was the greatest joy of her life. Her boys were her
entire world, and every decision she made was grounded in the
hope of giving them a safe, happy, and wonder-filled life. From
encouraging their passions to simply dancing in the kitchen,
Chelsie found magic in the everyday moments with her sons.
Chelsie had a radiant presence, with her rose-colored golden hair
and the fiery spirit of a true redhead. She brought a spicy flare to
life, always quick to laugh and never afraid to speak the truth with
love.
She had a remarkable ability to care for others and will be
remembered for her warm and nurturing soul, which she
expressed through home-cooked meals (especially Nana’s potato
salad), long heart-to-hearts, and fierce loyalty to those she loved.
Chelsie was everyone’s trusted confidant, the first to ensure
others felt seen, safe, and included. Whether she was re-listening
to the Harry Potter series for the hundredth time, finding peace on
the lake, dancing to Taylor Swift with her boys, or bringing
someone flowers just because, Chelsie lived with heart and
intention. Her family will forever treasure the nicknames that
captured her essence: her father’s “Ten Toes” and her mother’s
“warrior princess.” She brought empathy, humor, and deep care
into every room she entered and every relationship she nurtured.
Chelsie is survived by her sons, Elliot and Emery; her mother
Bettina Burns and her partner, Jim DeAngelis; her father Charles
Glover and his wife Sage Glover; her Papa-Go, Charles E.
Glover; many aunts, uncles, and cousins that she considered
siblings, and friends who she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved paternal grandmother;
Nancy Comfort Glover, as well as her maternal grandparents;
Naomi Nunan Burns and Kenneth L. Burns Jr.
A memorial and burial service will take place at Laurel Hill
Cemetery on October 8, 2025 at 1:00pm. Family and friends are
welcome.
